PRESS CONFERENCE: Harry Swain to rebut recent criticisms of BCUC’s Site C report and Treaty 8 Chiefs to correct Premier Horgan on First Nations’ lawsuits
On November 1, the BCUC issued its final report on Site C finding that the project was over budget and behind schedule, and that cancelling Site C would cost the same or less than continuation. Since then, the report has come under fire from union lobbyists, BC Hydro, and even deputy ministers within the NDP government. Having chaired the Joint Review Panel for Site C’s environmental assessment, and as a former deputy minister himself, Harry Swain is uniquely qualified to assess these criticisms.
