In a meeting held on November 14th in Fort St. John, Chief Lynette Tsakoza of Prophet River First Nation and Chief Roland Willson of West Moberly First Nations warned Ministers Michelle Mungall and Scott Fraser that a decision to build the Site C dam could lead to a billion-dollar Treaty infringement lawsuit. The First Nations said the final report issued by the BC Utilities Commission on November 1st strengthens their infringement claim considerably and makes cancellation the only viable option.
